About the Author
I was raised an army brat, and that meant growing up in several different states within the USA as well as a few places outside the country. One of those places was the Panama Canal Zone, where I graduated from Balboa High School and completed a year at the local college.
I then moved on to new places but always had a special feeling for Panama. Although I made some trips back there over the next few years, I then went decades without seeing what seemed to be my de-facto hometown.
Perhaps, like many military kids, there was no place that we called home since we would move to a new place every couple of years. So, it seemed natural to remember the place that we finished school and spent our formative years, as your hometown.
Over the years, many former Zonians would continue to attend reunions and make treks back to this special place.
This first novel, Panama Reunion, was influenced by the people, locations, and establishments that became part of the world I was fortunate to experience.
Panama Reunion
Although entirely fictional, Panama Reunion was inspired by the time spent in Panama and some of the relationships formed during my time there. Truly an exceptional place.

A drug lord in Panama has abducted Laura. He is demanding a ransom from her husband, but it is more than money that he wants; he wants payback. Laura’s husband, Paul, enlists the help of two of her most trusted friends; John and Sam. But there is more to the story than Paul is revealing. Regardless, they know they have to try and get Laura back safely. What they don’t know could prove to be extremely dangerous and end in disaster to all involved.
Their pursuit of Laura leads them back to Panama, to back street bars, and the involvement of old acquaintances as well as some new players. Getting Laura out safe is the goal, but does it really eliminate any of the threats posed by the drug lord?
